You know, I honestly doubt that Emmeline Vance would actually do something as underhanded as that. I really think that people shouldn't be attempting to degrade any Prefect. They were chosen for a good reason after all.

The last couple of days have been fairly interesting. Duelling Club went well, I suppose considering, even though I had to drag Alice over there (not literally, of course!).

I am currently throwing away the biscuits my eight-year old cousins baked for me. They're quite cute to look at, considering it's all shaped into various animals, but I took a bite and the taste was horrible. Even horrible than my Mum's home-cooked spaghetti, which is saying something.

I am really tempted to join the Gobstones Club. I went to watch them at the last meeting, and it looks fun. I think I need to do something like that, since it's not an examination year, so there's no harm in being active in co-curricular activities. I'll ask Professor Vector about it later, I suppose. Granted, I've never played Gobstones before because there was always other things to do, but it looks easy enough!

I read an article this morning about a group of wizard explorers who were in the jungle looking for acromantulas’ nest. They had to choose between to paths, and because the map they had with them wasn’t helping them much, they had to decide whether to go left or right. Their team leader decided that all of them were to go left, and because of that, they were ambushed by hundreds of acromantulas. Only one of them survived the attack. That’s sad, isn’t it? Just because the leader was made the wrong decision, his group members had to pay the price.

But on a lighter note, I thought the ice was pretty, though I’ve never been much of a fan of indoor skating. Skating should be done outside, really, because it’s just nicer to have a good view while you’re doing it.

Things to Look Forward This Year

1. No big examinations!
2. Meal times.
3. Exploding Snap matches (no one at home is interested in it. It's quite a bummer. ALICE, I demand that we have a match as soon as possible)
4. No big examinations!
5. Professor Flitwick's classes.
6. Watching Quidditch. I think? Hmm.
7. And other exciting events that might come up!
8. Definitely NOT patrolling

I had a good summer holiday. The whole family got together and we had long, productive gossips discussions regarding the state of the wizarding world.
